PEP Scoopbox just listed a few possible projects to serve as a reunion vehicle for Dingdong Dantes and Marian Rivera….

It sounds like these are all Koreannovela remakes. I’m not familiar with any of them… They all sound romantic though and if there is anyone who could pull off a believable romantic show, it’s Dong & Yan.

Here’s a suggestion, why not let Dingdong And Marian do them all.. It would be like a “DongYan Special Series” This has never done by a Loveteam before so hey, that’s a good idea. Ok folks, you read this idea from us first. Start emailing GMA 7

Marian would like something along the line of rom-com so I hope she gets her wish and I think we can all agree that Marian and Dong will pass with flying colors. It’s up to GMA 7 how they’re going to tell the story, how much they’ll spend on it and how effective the promotions are. Luckily for GMA 7, DongYan = unconditional support from fans. But it would be nice if GMA 7 sends Dingdong and Marian overseas to shoot a few scenes, yah know. Kinda like how they sent Richard and Heart to Prague for Full House. How about Spain? It’s a nice place too. Hey, we can all cross our fingers.

Hehe same here, since i just found out that Korean remakes only lasts 2-3 months…which will NOT satisfy me xD

So why not assign all 3 to DongYan, and maybe give a 3 month run for each series..:D

GMA should really focus on promotion and the story of the show they’ll give to DongYan…and not just rely on the fans which they have been doing. Yes the fan base is HUGE, but there are people there who aren’t part of it.

And i agree, GMA should tape some episodes in another country…cause for all i know its GMA’s second time to send RG to another country to shoot some episodes for his shows [Asero & now FH]…favoritism much?

Why don’t we send email to GMA executives so that they will have plans to our royal couple in sending to other countries to shoot for their next project in GMA.
They send RG & HE in Prague for FH so why not DD & MR also. They’re much popular than RG & HE for their information. So many subscribers of GMA Pinoy TV bec. of MR & DD coz they have so many fans not only here but also in abroad. Their fans abroad are looking forward to see them in person. They have gone in Malaysia & Singapore to promote Dyesebel & Marimar. See how famous they are. Last Sat MR went to Japan to promote Darna, so many fans screaming her name and they want to take picture of her.

As far as I am concerned, I’m more leaning towards a classic original love story that will run as long as Marimar, the kind that will capture and showcase all the more their acting capabilities, to be supported by a powerhouse cast like Christopher de Leon and other thespians in his caliber. I won’t tire of seeing them again in oh-so romantic scenes–DongYan fans, would you? Looking ahead, DD is turning 30 next year; in two or three years, he could well be on his way to getting mature roles, so it would work well to their advantage to be doing a project that is markado, a story that could truly engage and capture the interest of the viewers. I don’t like rom-com because I’m not sure if it would fare well in the ratings. I’m all for rom-com only if its for their next movie, with preferrably Joyce Bernal on the helm as most of her movies were hits.

Criselda, that would be the most ideal. I want something that will showcase Marian’s talent and give her more recognition. Same thing with Dong but GMA 7 seems to be into this remakes and short series. An original story with a good script and definitely a good supporting cast. But, Marian wants a rom-com I think. And GMA wants remake so whatever it is let’s hope GMA makes it really really really good.

PEP’s tweet was probably sent as a feeler by GMA 7 to find out what fans would pick from either 3. So I’m guessing an original story is out of the question. Therefore, give ‘em all, heh. In any case, whatever is is I’m sure Dong and Yan will get the support from fans and GMA 7 is banking on that big time.

Feisty, I guess we’re on the same wavelength on these reunion ideas. You’re right, GMA might just be sending these feelers to get the reaction of the fans, you know trying to test the waters. I actually think neither of those three Korean soaps would be for them for I have a gut feeling it’s going to be a mega project that has been in the pipeline. We never know, we might be in for a big surprise. Read my lips!!!

The three korean soaps are good acting vehicles for artists but my bet for Korean remakes are Love Story in Harvard and Coffee Prince. The first part of LSH was shot in Harvard University while the rest of the story was shot in Korea. On the other hand, if it is Coffee Prince, there is a part where the female lead studied culinary arts in Italy. But I would prefer an original story this time which could showcase Dong & Yan’s versatility as actors. Wishhhhh Ko Lang…..

siguro, wag muna sila pagtambalin agad. baka me sawa factor na mga tao, iilan lng ba may gusto ng dongyan balik-tambalan? sana iba naman, saka n dongyan towards end of 2010 something original love story like ung hihintayin kita sa langit ni goma at dawn zulueta; or better yet, romance-comedy, hindi puro iyakan at halikan. pwede rin MR and RG valentine movie.

go e-mail GMA 7 and let them know that you want an original story. you’d be surprised how big the DongYan fan clubs are and how much they’d prefer an original story for Marian and Dingdong.

i dont mind mapanood ang ang Dongyan sa TV kahit every year pa yan.. mas lalong wlang manood sa GMA kung di sila pagtambalin sa TV eventhough proven na kaya nila magdala ng show kahit di sila magkatambal and a lot of DONGYAN fans cut their subscription sa pinoytv dahil di sila magkatambal since mapapanood mo naman ang DARNA at STH through LS.

I believe marianaespiritu di ka Dongyan. Alam mo ba na contrary to what you said na baka magsawa ang mga tao sa Dongyan, millions of Dongyans nga the world over ay kinalampag na ang GMA para ibalik na ang aming Royal Couple, The Phenomenal Loveteam. Di kaya kami ngasasawa. Dahil nga sa tagal na wala sila sa primetime, paulit-ulit na lang pinapanuod sa Youtube at DVDs yung Marimar, Dyesebel, ABHSAT huwag lang mawalan ng vitamins. ibalik na lang kasi! and guys we all know na karamihan dito na nagcocoment dongyan but yung iba marian lang talga.. ako slight dongyan lang and marian rivera tlaga ko… pero sobrang bagay tlaga sila di ko tuloy maiwasan idolin pati si dd. pero i think maganda iiba ng partner si marian rivera ganun naman ang artista at iyong ibang station naman sana leading man niya kasi maganda cya khit sino bagay sa kanya like john lloyd cruz, derek ramsay and i like piolo pascual khit sabi nung bading siya. ksi napatunayan niya na kaya nya mag solo diba at sya kanya nag paangat kay dd di ba? dont denied it! that;’s why kahit kanino ok cya sana after darna mas maganda na ung partner nya un lang.. love story para astig.

knyll, if it’s possible that Yan could work with Piolo, JLC, Derek and Diet, don’t you think we’d all be for it? All this network war crap and exclusivity bullshit is the one preventing celebs working with each other. It has nothing to do with their personal lives.
