GMA 7′s Sunday entertainment talk show is going to bid goodbye to their loyal viewers in about 2 or 3 weeks. I’m not really sure how long it has left but the show is definitely being replaced. Yours Truly suspected this from a blind item tweeted by blind item extra-ordinnaire Dinno Erece. Then I saw John Sweet Lapus’ facebook status which I assumed was related to the blind item. It might pertain to something totally different though but I’m just going to go with my first gut.

TOTOONG mawawala na ang Showbiz Central ng GMA 7, pero mali ang balitang hanggang sa Linggo na lang mapapanood ang showbiz talk show na ini­ho-host nina Pia Guanio, Jennylyn Mercado, John Lapus at Raymond Gutierrez.

Simula sa Linggo ay limang beses pa itong mapapanood at hindi totoong isang horror antho­logy ang pansamantalang papalit dito.

Sa halip, papalitan ito ng isang bagong talk show na iho-host ng isang singer/actress kasama ang da­lawa sa apat na hosts ng Showbiz Central.

Ayaw pang i-announce ng GMA 7 management ang bagong showbiz talk show na papalit sa Showbiz Central, pero gusto nilang klaruhin na hindi totoo ang pinalalabas ng iba na hanggang Linggo na lang ang showbiz talk show na ‘yon.

Sabi sa akin ng isang executive ng Siyete, nakalimang taon na ang Showbiz Central at hindi masama kung tapusin at palitan nila iyon ng ibang showbiz talk show.

Sabi pa ng Kapuso network executive na kausap ko, mas maganda at mas exciting ang bagong showbiz talk show na papalit sa Showbiz Central, kaya umaasa sila na mananatiling loyal sa timeslot na ‘yon ang followers ng magsasarang showbiz talk show. (source)

Now the question is, who is the singer/actress who will be working with 2 Showbiz Central hosts? Ok, stick with me here coz I’m going to break it all down for you and see if you agree.

Since Jun Lalin is The Gutierrez’s publicist it is safe to assume that the 1 SC host who will be retained for the new talk show is Raymond Gutierrez. Right? Going by Sweet’s facebook status, he might not be the other one. Pia Guanio is about to go on maternity leave so it’ll be interesting if she’s the other one and will just come back after having her baby. Meanwhile, there’s Jennylyn Mercado. She’s a singer/actress so initially you’d assume she’s the Singer/Actress that was mentioned at first. However, she’s already a host of Showbiz Central so she’s one of the hosts who could either be one of the ones being retained or joining the other one with a pink slip.

If Jennylyn is the singer/actress who will be joining the 2 SC hosts then there’s really no change if you think about it, therefore I conclude that Jennylyn is not it. Are you still with me?

I can only really think of 2 singer/actress in GMA 7 with popularity and showbiz status who could be given such importance by GMA 7 to possibly host a talk show. I have guesses (R, J), how about you? Let’s Play!
