It’s really not news that there are so many artista reality-based contest shows in the Philippines right now. But I find it interesting though that the 3 networks seems to be doing their grandest preparations practically at the same time for their upcoming artista search shows. I don’t know if they’re all going to be on at the same time though. That would be such an interesting scenario, no? The Protege in GMA 7, X-Factor Philippines in ABS-CBN, and Artista Academy in TV5. This would make the ratings game even more cutthroat. Network loyalists are going to have a field day for sure.
The Protege and Artista Academy are original creations of GMA 7 and TV5, respectively, while X-Factor is a franchise from UK. Now, let’s pretend all 3 shows are on at the same day and same timeslot, AND, let’s pretend even more that “network war” in the Philippines is non-existence (*knock on wood* HAHAHAHA), Which Artista Search Reality Contest Would You Watch?
