The smart thing to do after being threatened by anyone, on national TV no less, was to get protection order from the court. That’s exactly what Claudine Barretto and Raymart Santiago did after the Tulfo Brothers, sans Mon Tulfo, issued threats on TV. The couple’s application for Temporary Protection Order was granted. Here’s the statement from their lawyer.
I am pleased to inform you that the Hon. Bayani Vargas, Presiding Judge of the Regional Trial Court of Quezon City Branch 219 issued an Order dated today24 May 2012 granting our application for issuance of a Temporary Protection Order in favor of the spouses Raymart Santiago and Claudine Barretto.
Pursuant to the TPO, the Chief of the Philippine National Police was ordered to designate the necessary security personnel to the petitioner spouses Santiago.
In the same order, the respondents Ben, Raffy and Erwin Tulfo, their aides and security men were ordered not to do any harm nor approach the petitioners and their immediate family within five hundred (500) meters. (source)
