For Jessica Sanchez’s duet at the recently concluded American Idol Season 11, she held her own with the original DreamGirl, music icon Jennifer Holliday. When I said Jessica Sanchez held her own, I mean she was AMAZING. And this girl is only 16 yrs old, people.
With that alone, Jessica Sanchez is the big winner for me. The title would have been sweet but if you study the history of most American Idol winners, the runners up are doing much better than the winners. There you go.

we enjoyed this performance this morning. We’ve had a good laugh but basically pinoys (in the Philippines) are not really used to this kind of singing style, we were entertained vocally and also visually. That kind of style is somehow introduced by Jaya and picked up by Rachelle Anne (in Party Pilipinas), slowly but surely. I dreamt that someday pinoy entertainers will keep up with the ever changing trends in music and pinoy audiences mature like what we see in PP. But anyways, both of them are awesome. looking forward to Jessica’s evolution. I can’t wait for her first album and many many future endeavors!!!!Wish you the best JS
Goosebumps the first time I heard it live earlier in the finals. Goosebumps again hearing it here. Riveting performance, haven’t seen a powerful collaboration such as this before. If there’s an AI duet category, this would be the winner! hahaha. Wow Jessica, 16 years old and with those pipes and a helluva lot of soul! And the poise to hold one’s own beside THE Jennifer Holliday. Ikaw na!
