Someone sent me a screenshot this morning of a twitter conversation between one of ABS-CBN’s executives(?) Eric John Salut and a fellow fan of KC Concepcion. It was a little disconcerting since in my opinion, EJS’s tweet about releasing “baho” or dirt on someone is so un-executive like. I waited for a few hours before doing anything coz I had a feeling KC’s mom would take up the cudgels for her daughter. AND SHE DID, big time.

I’m sure this isn’t the end end of this. Maybe KC will say something, maybe she won’t. It’s kinda of a tricky situation for her since she also works in the network Eric John Salut works at. Plus she’s got X-Factor Philippines coming up. As the showbiz cliche goes.. ABANGAN….

Well, ako man nanay ni KC I’ll do the same, mega star or not. Bakit ba uso mga palpak na network executives? They are instruments of hall of shame sa positions nila. I think Tweeter is a blessing for those who want immediate reactions and war…dami ng nagaaway-away sa Tweeter.

I seldom post here except if I need to express my thoughts/insights on a topic you have that I feel I may have something valuable to add or contribute to or comment on sensibly. This time, although this topic above does NOT have anything to do with the DY, I want to post my comment, however trivial it may be, as I just got reminded of something else re the “10M daw on its first day” comment above, in reference to the first day box-office performance of the PP-AP movie. In 2008 during the showing of the DY’s initial film collaboration, “One True Love,” it was reported that such movie made P10M on its first day showing and DD even had an interview confirming said amount. At that time, the press and those especially ‘hostile’ to the DY pooh-poohed said P10M reported first day gross of the movie and the skeptics went about their business belittling the claim of Regal-GMA7 producers. That was FOUR years AGO. Forward to 2012 NOW. TV Patrol reports last night in its newscast that its latest movie offering made P10M on its first day. And everyone in the business, including the press, swallows the piece of news hook, line, and sinker and the whole industry celebrates! Talaga naman! Pag sila ang naka-P10M, KUMITA! Pero pag iba ang naka-P10M, flop! Uhmm, that’s double standard, isn’t it? What Star Cinema says is always THE TRUTH, dyan magaling ang ABS-CBN – marketing and hyping its products. But sometimes, looking at the movie houses and the number of moviegoers queuing, I wonder about the reality and the truth of the producer’s press releases misleading the gullible out there… Really, GMA7 and the other producers have yet to master this pretentious art of promoting… There, I’ve expressed my random thoughts.

I wish Piolo would say something about this issue between them and KC, the fact that he is not, says a lot, Huge…Lahat ng relationship that goes wrong that involves artista, both party would react and that is that. Sorry is not that hard to say, they could still be friends. Given na gay siya it could still be secret and hidden as long as hindi niya aminin, I would love to see them in a film. If they become friends again, all this kabastusan will go away…Just act… that is what they are paid to do anyway.
I wish people will leave Piolo alone. He is not the one who is saying bad things to the Cuneta/Concepcion family. He is just like us who is trying to live his life and move on from this bad experiences. Why bashing him and ruining his life? Why can’t you just leave him alone, and give the guy a break? None of this negative comments on KC and Sharon actually came out from his mouth. Granted that it came from people he is associated with, those are their own opinions and he can not control what these people wants to say. Piolo already endured a lot of negatve comments about him, his private life, his sexuality. Some of the are more deragatory and hard to swallow. He did not start all of this controversy. In fact, you can say that it was KC hersel who started this. If she just acted reasonably, maturely and did not let her emotions control her; if she did not right away go to public television and made those tell all interviews; none of this will happen. KC could have just said something like “Yes, Piolo and I decided to call it quits because there are things in our relationship that no matter how hard we both try to fix and make it work, we just cant. So we both agreed to just ended it this way and just be civil with each other. And I want the public to give us a chance to heal and just move on with our lives. It is only normal that in a certain relationship that things don’t always work out so well and successful, and sad to say that our relationship is one of those that failed. But that doesn’t mean we didn’t love each other. We do love each other and we want to give each other the freedom, the chance to find ourselves, and our happiness. That’s all I can say. So I am asking our fans, my fans, Piolo’s fans, and everyone else to please give us a chance to heal and lets all move on. Whatever happened in our relationship is just between me and Piolo. The impotant thing is we maintain our respect and adoration for each other.” TO ME, This is how KC should have handled it. But instead, she gave some vague answers as to the reasons of their breakup, which causes all this controversy. Even if she say or her Mom said that she did not tell the real reasons of their breakup, she gave a lot of vague clues, used a double meaning words (like a sharp edge sword) that causes people to speculate and bash Piolo in the Internet. What KC is getting now from the “so called bashers” are nothing compared to what Piolo is getting. A lot of comments thrown to Piolo are really bad, trashy, hard to swallow, and it all because of that KC interview.
So, what I am trying to say here is that both KC and Piolo are suffering from all this controversy. But as long as one of the party involved keeps responding to this people, the so called “Bashers”, this will not stop and will just continue to hurt them. And to Ms. Sharon Cuneta, please just ignore them and stop responding. You don’t have to defend yourself or KC. We don’t really know you and your family, and you dont realy know these people who are throwing negative comments on you and KC, so why let them affect you? At the end, you and KC will just look like a loser if you don’t stop responding to every negative comments posts in the Internet. Why did I say that? Because you just make yourself angry, mad, hating, which are not good for you emotionally, mentally, and physically. Baka magkasakit or ma-heart attack ka lang, di ba? Then, will it be wort it? So chill na lang kayo, calm down, cool off. Just ignore, and be happy, and just count your blessings. And at the same time, as hard as it is, try not to say anything more about Piolo that will further ruin the guy’s life and reputation, the same way that you don’t want you daughter’s life and reputation to be ruined. Just try to forgive and forget, and people will admire you more if you can do that. These are just my opinion. Thanks for reading/listening.
Actually, Piolo’s sexuality rumors, chismis, criticisms, etc…… have always been there waaaayyyyyyyyyy before he announced on The Buzz that he and KC were in a relationship. A lot of people rolled their eyes then. And when this relationship ended, 99% pretty much said to KC, “I told you so.” So NO, it wasn’t KC who started all of that sexuality controversy.
Yes, it’s true. It’s been there before, but it is not as bad as it is now after that KC interview. Since that interview, a lot of people are hurting more, and bashing each other more. I am not a fan of Piolo, but after reading some of those negative comments posts in the Internet on Piolo, I sympathized with him. He became the target of so called cyber bullying. My Gosh! Have you read those jokes, negative comments thrown at him? Holy Cow! It is so trashy, so hard to swallow, so … I don’t know how else to call it.
And actually, that’s another point I would like people to see. As you have said, Piolo’s sexuality rumors, chismis, criticisms, etc…… have always been there waaaayyyyyyyyyy before he announced on The Buzz that he and KC were in a relationship. Then why Sharon did not do anything to stop it or warn KC about it? INSTEAD, IT LOOKED LIKE SHARON ALSO RIDE OR PLAYED ALONG WITH IT. WHEN PIOLO GUESTED IN SHARON’S CONCERT, SHARON EVEN ACTED AS IF SHE IS SO KILIG NA KILIG TO HAVE HIM IN HER CONCERT, SHE ALSO GUSHES WHEN SHE INTRODUCED PIOLO IN HER SHOWS. SHE GUSHES AND ACTED KILIG TO DEATH on TV, WITH HER DAUGHTER KC’S RELATIONSHIP WITH PIOLO. So, it looked like she too have played along with all this, and have fooled a lot of fans for making them believed in that KC-PIOLO relationship. So, if anything, Piolo is not the only one to be blamed on what happened. Don’t you agree?
But look, as I have said, I am not a fan of anyone. I’m just airing my opinion based on my observation to what’s happening. So again, I just want to give Sharon a sound advice for her own good too – physically, mentally and emotionally. Just ignore those people bashing her and her daughter, because the more you respond to them, the more it will drag on, and on, and on, and the more a lot of people, feelings will get hurt. So, I’m just asking Sharon to just stop too and IGNORE this people. We know very well that this kind of people get their happiness by making other people mad, angry, hating, etc., so why give in to them? She’s just making these people happy. Like I said before, none of these people really know her, KC or her family, SO WE ALREADY KNOW THAT WHAT THESE PEOPLE ARE SAYING ABOUT THEM ARE REALLY NOT TRUE, BASELESS, WITHOUT FACTS, SO SHARON DOESN’T NEED TO KEEP DEFENDING HERSELF OR KC. DON’T LET HERSELF FALL INTO THEIR TRAP, BECAUSE THE MORE SHE (SHARON)SHOW THESE PEOPLE THAT SHE IS BEING AFFECTED, ANNOYED, UPSET, ANGRY, MAD, THE MORE SHE IS MAKING THEM HAPPY, AND THE MORE THEY WILL NOT STOP BECAUSE THEY’RE GETTING THE ATTENTION AND REACTION THAT THESE PEOPLE ARE CRAVINGS FOR. And again, I also would like to ask Ms. Cuneta to contained her emotions, don’t let it take control of her judgment, her thinking, no matter how hard it is. Do not do the same mistake that KC did, by going on public television, telling everyone what it is that broke KC’s heart, the reasons for the break-up, the knowledge she has on Piolo’s sexuality, etc. just to get back on these bashers, because like I said, IT IS NOT PIOLO HIMSELF WHO IS BASHING THEM, NONE OF IT ACTUALLY COMES OUT OF PIOLO’S MOUTH. THE GUY IS TRYING TO LIVE HIS LIFE THE BEST HE CAN AND ALSO IS TRYING TO MOVE ON. REMEMBER THAT “TO FORGIVE AND FORGET” WILL MAKE YOU HAPPY, YOUNGER, AND MORE BLESSED, than getting upset, mad, angry, fuming, etc. etc. Don’t you agree?
Malou, Just because the rumors have always been there even way before KC had that interview, doesn’t mean they’re actually true. Since KC went ahead and had a relationship with the guy, even though she’s heard all those rumors, she believed they were just that, rumors. Sharon probably did as well. For the sake of the argument, let’s say Sharon knew all along, why didn’t she stop KC? How do you know she didn’t. Are you in their daily conversations? Do you live in their house? You can’t say for sure that Sharon didn’t warn her daughter.
On the other hand, if she knew but she didn’t tell her daughter, or if she did but KC didn’t listen, guess what, KC is a grown woman. She can make her own decisions. And sometimes, we all do things that will turn out NOT OK. It’s called life experience. Sharon is a mother. Somehow, someway she had to let her daughter find out herself, whatever that is. So KC learned something from all these I’m sure. Whether it would be to listen to her Mother more, or her instincts more, or anything else she learned from that experience. Things really do happen for a reason. At that time in KC’s life she had a relationship with Piolo, why? Why did God let KC get into that relationship? There’s a purpose why. Think about it. Is it because she was an instrument in finally revealing what have been talked about for years? Who knows?
KC had that breakdown on TV afterwards, that was her choice. You might have done it the other way but you’re not KC. If/When you are put in the same situation that she was in, then by all means, react however you think is the best way to react. KC did what she did because she thought it was the only way she could tell some of her side of the story. Sharon is a grown woman also who is reacting to things the way she knows how. I’m not her, you’re not her. We all react differently. If you can give her advice and she’ll listen to you, then by all means do it. Just search for her name in Twitter.
In regards to all the nasty things Piolo has gotten, or continuously getting, that is not KC’s responsibility. Those people have a mind of their own, the same way you and I do. Their reaction to anything is done through their own volition. KC is not in these people’s houses telling them what to type in their computers. KC can go on TV to tell them to stop or have a billboard made in EDSA telling them to stop spreading rumors about Piolo, but that’s not going to stop those people. KC has no control over that matter. The same way she has no control over what her haters are saying about her either. Even Piolo Pascual couldn’t stop all the rumors about him. At the end of the day, they have the choice to ignore and move on with their lives or waste time trying to change people’s perceptions of them.
